A Great Appetizer to Serve with DrunkenRaisins!

Our friend and DrunkenRaisins Family Member, Pam Babbit, was kind enough to share this great recipe! Let us know what you think:

This appetizer is absolutely fantastic! And I bet it would be even better with Drunken Raisins.

Cream Cheese Spread
(sorry, most ingredients do not have quantities)

1 block cream cheese
pesto
marinara or spaghetti sauce
chopped black olives
golden raisins
cranberries
splash of balsamic vinegar

It’s better to make it the night before or a few hours ahead so that the raisins and cranberries absorb the moisture. Enjoy!

  1. I enjoyed this appetizer at a wine tasting recently and it was super. Of course, the good wines, idyllic setting and great company possibly had a bit to do with it. Enjoy!

  2. hello!This was a really admirable post!
I come from roma, I was fortunate to discover your Topics in baidu
Also I obtain a lot in your website really thank your very much i will come daily

  3. The recipe with the gin and the golden raisins works great! My mom is in her 70’s and did not want to try them because of the gin. But, Dr. Oz had them on his show and because of that she tried them. Her arthritis is better than it has been in a long time. She says you cannot taste the gin. Thank you.

  4. I am curious why do you bake the raisins in the oven before you package them to sell. My husband uses them all the time and he swears by them for his arthritis. Will be waiting for your reply. Thanks

    1. The baking is actually an extended “warming” to draw down the alcohol content which is not a critical element in the anti-inflammation ingredient list. Glad you husband is experiencing good results.

  5. I found the recipe from a book by the Wilen Sisters and have been using the gin and raisins recipe for about 2 yrs. Took about 30 days to really register that I could climb the stairs without assist from a railing or going up just one leg per step. Hooray!!IT WORKS. Also have passed the recipe on to everyone I know.

    1. The recipe can be a ‘pain’. DrunkenRaisins will make a significantly improved recipe for you and a really reasonable cost. In the meantime we’re pleased that you are enjoying relief.

  6. I have had the most arthritis pain in my hip you ever can imagine, a friend told me about the white raisins and gin. I thought, what do I have to loose. I have bin taking white raisins and gin for two years and will keep on taking them.
I don’t know how long it took , but one day I noticed that my pain was gone. Thank you my friend for the information.

    1. That’s a wonderful endorsement Ursula. If you’d like to enhance your experience and enjoy even more exciting results, get and eat DrunkenRaisins. I know that’s a pitch but I switched 6 years ago and know the difference.

  7. How would these drunken raisins affect a person with a heart condition? Sounds like a great idea for arthritis though – my husband has it in both knees and anything the drs prescribe are worthless.

    1. I’m not qualified to comment on Heart Condition dos and don’ts. Fortunately it’s not a condition I have had to deal with. It would be the doctor’s call as to the diet consideration for a heart condition. However I will offer this observation. DrunkenRaisins are “food”…not medicine. It is a food, that when eaten many have experienced reduced inflammation pain. Arthritis is simply inflammation that in specific areas doesn’t go away.

My arthritis is in my hands but my regular regimen of daily eating a few DrunkenRaisins has provided me enough relief that I have avoided chemical medications (to which I was adamantly opposed anyway). The anecdotal evidence, popularly noted on the internet, indicated that in excess of 70% of those who have tried them have experienced different levels of relief. It was my frustration of not being able to find them on the internet that drove me to start producing them for others like myself who were looking for simple relief…not magical cures. No matter what you do you will regularly be reminded that your arthritis is still there.

I appreciate your frustration with the medical advice you have received in the past. I honestly believe your doctors are just as frustrated with their own inability to recommend more assured solutions to the arthritis conundrum. I hope that your husband finds relief somewhere along the line and shares it with the rest of us. In the meantime, should your doctor not object, I invite you to give the DrunkenRaisin a try
